Montessori Children's Garden Admission Policies

For the Montessori Children's Garden preschool program, children are eligible to enroll at 3 years of age, and must be toilet trained. Children may enter the pre-school program at anytime throughout the year if openings are available. Students may participate in the pre-school program until they are eligible for the Kindergarten program.

For the Montessori Children's Garden Kindergarten and Elementary programs, we strictly follow age guidelines of District 204, Indian Prairie School District. Observance of this policy allows kindergartners to be eligible for entry into 1st grade after completing the program. Children attending the Kindergarten and Elementary programs must be enrolled five (5) days per week.

Montessori Children's Garden also provides a Summer Program, that engages children with additional projects and events in a more relaxed atmosphere. The Summer Program begins approximately the first of June of each calendar year. Summer program is available for preschool, kindergarten and elementary age children.

Enrollment Procedures:

1. Initial Parent Inquiry
Parents provided with general information about the program and a meeting is scheduled with school representative. 

2. Parent Meeting (1st Visit)
Family receives a tour of our facility and is introduced to the staff.  A director or head teacher answers any questions. .

3. Student Visit / Parent Observation (2nd Visit)
The child participates in a short visit to the classroom allowing the teacher and parents the opportunity to observe. 

4. Acceptance and Enrollment
Additional forms completed for admission, medical release and health forms explained*.

*If child is not immunized based on religious grounds a letter stating the exemption must be provided in lieu of the immunization form prior to admission.
